Welcome to Models By John

Thank you for visiting my website, I am a small manufacturer of electric powered radio controlled ducted fan jets and have been in business since July, 2000. My jets are primarily made from fiberglass, foam, plywood and balsa. As of November, 2009, I have been successful in designing composite wings for some of my kits. Although these models are not ARF’s, they offer no difficulty for the experienced builder.

All of my kits include the electric ducted fan unit (no motors are included) as the ducting has been designed to fit these units. With some minor customizing, the ducting can be made to fit EDF units from other manufacturers.

My design principal has been to supply the customer with a high quality fiberglass model kit at the lowest possible costs. As a result, materials have been carefully selected to fit the requirement that it was intended to perform, I have avoided using expensive materials wherever possible. Carbon fiber has been used where necessary to provide rigidity and strength.

If ordering a model kit, please allow up to 3 weeks before the kit is shipped as I manufacture each kit myself so quality control can be easily maintained.

 

SHIPPING INFORMATION

I ship world wide and payments are through PayPal.com via the “Add To Cart” buttons. Once your order has been confirmed and assembled, you will be notified by e-mail of the shipping costs, this will assure accurate rates after weight and size of package has been determined, all shipping is via Canada Post unless customer requests another service (ie: Purolator, Fed-Ex, UPS) .
